What a day. Coach Lou and I had an early morning workout to wake ourselves up. Then it was time to get ready for the opening of the convention. The whole place came together overnight. The live field was ringed with netting and loudspeakers were set up for the coaches attending. The expo featured dozens of companies who were selling all kinds of lacrosse swag and services.

Day 1 of the 2011 US Lacrosse National Convention:

Coach Lou and I arrived in Baltimore after a very brief flight from Hartsfield-Jackson. We took the Light Rail to the Baltimore Hilton right across from the Convention Center. US Lacrosse will be having a Level One Clinic in Gwinnett on November 20th at Peachtree Ridge HS.

Coaches who complete a Level 1 Clinic receive a certificate of completion and are noted in the US Lacrosse database. This certificate is valid toward Level 1 certification requirements.

Youth Officials Training in September by the GLOA

The Georgia Lacrosse Officials Association is offering a training session on September 23rd to youth players (18 years old or younger) interested in officiating youth lacrosse. The GLOA had a very successful training session this past weekend. Twenty five young men completed the US Lacrosse Level 1 Officials Training Program by going through four hours of classroom training, station training, and field training.
