Spring is the main season for lacrosse

U7 pre K – 1st   ——-   U9 – grades 2 & 3
U11 – grades 4 & 5   ——–   U13 – grades 6 & 7

U7-no practice  –  U9, U11, U13-twice a week

U9, U11, U13 – At times teams may play games with other programs – some games maybe away. Our Main HOME game field will be Dunwoody Springs Elementary School. Games primarily on Saturdays

U9, U11, U13 teams play for end of season championship
Players receive a game jersey and shorts

January – $300
Registration $3.00 processing fee is added to all registrations


US Lacrosse Membership Required for registration
Players must be current US Lacrosse Member with membership
good through the end of May 2019 –  Cost is $35
If you do not have a USL membership: click here
A $25.00 fee will be added if your registration comes back due to the players US lacrosse membership not being current.

FIELD LOCATIONS – directions

During registration you have the option to note your “preferred”
practice field location.
(no guarantees on location… we do the best we can.
All depends on the coaches)

Times will be between 5:00 & 7:00 practices
are about an hour and 15 minutes

High Point Elementary – practice only – Mon,Wed,Thur, Fri
Hammond Park – games/practice – Tues/Thurs
Dunwoody Springs Elementary – games/practice – Mon/Wed

We work to plan an 8-12 game season with end of season championship games and teams that are interested can play in the Roswell Invitational in May
At times teams might have double headers, play other programs  and toward the end of the season they may have weekday games instead of practices.

Season Overview

  • What is it?
    • The AYL Spring Season is our main competitive season for boys grades U7, U9, U11, U13. Scores are recorded for playoff seeding. This season ends with a champion team in U9 – U11- U13 age levels
    •  U7 – graded K – 1st.  have a one hour FUN session each week
  • Where are the practices?
    • Practices locations are Hammond Park, High Point Elementary or Dunwoody Springs Elementary. During registration you can note your “Preferred”  practice field location (no guarantees on this… we do the best we can. All depends on the coaches)
    • U9, U11 & U13 practice two days a week
    • U7 do not practice they only meet on either Saturday  for a one hour FUN session
    • Practice days and times will be set by the coaches as per their availability due to their work schedules.

  • When and where will the games be?
    • Games will be played Saturdays or Sundays or both could be possible depends on final approved schedule home and away games and weather issues)
    • U9, U11 & U13 will have Away Games
    • Our MAIN home field is Dunwoody Springs Elementary  – directions
  • What is the game format?
    • Games are 20-minute running time games with a 5-minute halftime
    • Generally, all games run for a total of 45-50 minutes
  • Who plays a championship game?
    • U9,  U11 & U13 teams  play a championship game at the end of the season
  • What is the Sportsmanship Award?
    • This is the ONLY award and is our MOST honored award!
    • Coaches and teammates will chose 4-6 players from their team at the end of the season who exemplify sportsmanship. 
  • Who are the coaches?
    • Our coaches are volunteer parents. Some are former experienced players who have played at Division I, II or III schools, while others are new to lacrosse.
  • What equipment do the players need?
  • Players are required to wear – Helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, boys stick, mouth guard, protective cup, all purpose cleats. For all equipment information – click here
  • We suggest that NEW players wear their equipment for at least 15 minutes every day at home and play outside prior to the start of the season.
